The state of art and the state of practice is not keeping up with today’s cyber challenges, and as a result, adversarial activities are becoming increasingly effective in disrupting mission capabilities. To close the gap that exists in the state of the art and the state of practice, a more forward-leaning approach is needed to modernize, enhance, and innovate cybersecurity practices, technologies, capabilities, and R&D. This talk will discuss forward leaning strategies and approaches to reshape and rethink cyber R&D to bolster the security posture in organizations to combat adversarial activity. Forward leaning approaches will position organizations to take more proactive measures to identify, protect, detect, respond, and recover to/from potential cyber intrusions.
